About The Club is affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain through the Midland Counties Photographic Federation. The Club's first meeting was held on Tuesday 3rd February 1976 in a room at the Royal Exchange in Walsall Wood. This meeting was an informal get-together involving four local people who shared an interest in photography. During its first year other people joined and it became a viable Club. The Club decided that its aims should be clearly thought out and written down. These are :-
We meet each Tuesday evening at 8.00pm at St. John's Community Hall, St. John's Church, Lichfield Road,
We have a varied and interesting programme of events which consist of a mixture of talks, presentations, competitions, practical and social evenings. We invite guest speakers to the club on a regular basis and also encourage contributions from our own club members who wish to share their photographic knowledge and expertise. We hold a number of internal and inter club competitions throughout the season all of which are always well supported by our members. We endeavour to balance our programme to suit all levels of experience from beginners to advanced photographers and also covering both film and digital photography.
If any of the above is of interest to you and if you wish to try out a new hobby or wish to improve on your existing photographic knowledge and skills, then why not come along to some of our meetings. If you like what you see and wish to share a common interest in photography with other like minded enthusiasts you will be most welcome to join us.
