The Club's 33rd Annual Dinner and Presentation of Awards was held at The Terrace Restaurant. The awards presented by our Guest of Honour, Peter Clark FRPS, EFIAP/s, APSA, PPSA were as follows :-

9th February 2010
We were hosts to Wednesbury Photographic Society in an Inter Club Battle of 10 prints and 10 digital images from each Club. The battle was judged by John Haines of Great Barr Photographic Society. The print section ended in a tie with each Club achieving the same score of 166 points. The highest scoring print from Wednesbury with a maximum of 20 points was "How Did I Get in this Mess" by Tim Merrick. The highest scoring print from Walsall Wood also with a maximum of 20 points was "Canal Tranquility" by John Smith. The digital image section was won by Walsall Wood who scored 165 points to Wednesbury's score of 156 points. The highest scoring image from Wednesbury, scoring 19 points, was "Barberry Sheep" by Carol Barrett. Walsall Wood had two images awarded the maximum of 20 points each. They were "Inscription" by John Withnall and "Light and Steam" by John Hough. Overall the battle was won by Walsall Wood who scored a combined total of 331 points to Wednesbury's combined total of 322 points.

Aldridge Photographic Society were our hosts to an Inter Club Battle of 10 prints and 10 digital images from each Club. The battle was judged by John Haines. The print section was won by Walsall Wood who scored 164 points to Aldridge's score of 156 points. The digital images section was won by Aldridge who scored 169 points to Walsall Wood's score of 160 points. Overall the Battle was won by just one single point by Aldridge who scored a combined total of 325 points to Walsall Wood's combined total of 324 points.The winning print was "Wave" by Tim Merrick of Walsall Wood and the joint winning digital images were "A Quiet Read" by Brian Morgan of Aldridge and "Light and Steam" by John Hough of Walsall Wood, all scoring the maximum of 20 points.

Handsworth Photographic Society were our hosts to an Inter Club Battle for the Ron Hughes LRPS CPAGB Trophy. The battle consisted of 10 prints and 10 digital images from each Club and was won by Walall Wood who scored a total of 310 points to Handsworth's total of 278 points.
20th October 2009
We were hosts to Acton Trussell and Penkridge Photographic Society in an Inter Club Battle of 10 prints and 10 digital images from each Club. The battle was judged by Alan Lawrence ARPS. The print section was won by Walsall Wood who scored 76 points to Acton Trussell's score of 67 points. The digital image section was also won by Walsall Wood who scored 79 points to Acton Trussell's score of 68 points. Overall the battle was won by Walsall Wood who scored a combined total of 155 points to Acton Trussell's combined total of 135 points. The winning print "Twilight Shift" and the winning digital image "Rounding the Bend" were both from Walsall Wood, each scoring the maximum 10 points.

Great Barr Photographic Society were our hosts to an Inter Club Battle of 10 prints and 10 digital images from each Club. The battle was judged by Gary Jackson. The print section was won by Great Barr who scored 156 points to Walsall Wood's score of 135 points. The digital images section was also won by Great Barr who scored 151 points to Walsall Wood's score of 136 points. Overall the Battle was won by Great Barr who scored a combined total of 307 points to Walsall Wood's combined total of 271 points.The winning print "Old Boiler" and the winning digital image "Southwold Pier" were both from Great Barr, each scoring the maximum 20 points.
