We were hosts to Handsworth Photographic Society in the annual Inter Club Battle for the Ron Hughes Trophy. The battle consisted of 10 prints and 10 digital images from each Club which were judged by Peter Young CPAGB, APAGB of Bromsgrove Photographic Society. The print section was won by Handsworth who scored a total score of 164 points to Walsall Wood's score of 161 Points. Two prints were awarded the maximum of 20 points each. These were both from Walsall Wood and were "Hands" by Dave Greensill and "Canal Tranquility" by John Smith. The digital image section was also won by Handsworth who scored 163 points to Walsall Wood's score of 162 points. Two images were awarded the maximum score of 20 points each. These were "Great Tit" by Graham Vernon from Walsall Wood and "Flower and Cartwheel" from Handsworth. Overall the battle and the Ron Hughes Trophy were won by Handsworth who scored a combined total of 327 points to Walsall Wood's combined total of 323 points.
